5 out of 5 stars Spend-id value!   September 7, 2010
Douglas Stoltzfus (Rogers Park, Chicago, USA)
Splenda as a product needs no review on its quality by itself - that goes without saying. It's THE sweetener to buy taste-wise in my book. However, I wanted to review this particular offering for the value it offers on Amazon. Compared to the in-store price paid here for smaller boxes, there's no comparison. To have this available at such a great price merits a 5-star rating. Great price point.

5 out of 5 stars Love buying my Splenda this way.   July 22, 2010

This is the best deal I have ever found on Splenda, and what a plus to have it delivered right to my door to boot! Can't beat that.

3 out of 5 stars Disappointed   July 19, 2010
teala silverre (Tacoma, Washington United States)
I have found many of the packages to be off-cut. This means many are already empty, or worse emptying themselves all over the counter and me. I realize this is typically done by machine, but it still does not make the product better. Where is the quality control?

3 out of 5 stars As expected   July 12, 2010

Ordered it for the convenience. Decent price compared to what it cost at the local grocery. It should last for a long time.

1 out of 5 stars Not a wise alternative to sugar   July 1, 2010
Derek Rubin
Contrary to popular belief, sucralose is not a healthy alternative to sugar, and instead, like other artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, actually has been shown to cause significant negative health effects.

James Turner, the chairman of the national consumer education group Citizens for Health, has expressed shock and outrage after reading a new report from scientists outlining the dangers of the artificial sweetener Splenda (sucralose).

In animals examined for the study, Splenda reduced the amount of good bacteria in the intestines by 50 percent, increased the pH level in the intestines, contributed to increases in body weight and affected P-glycoprotein (P-gp) levels in such a way that crucial health-related drugs could be rejected.
