4 out of 5 stars Good value   August 18, 2010

I use citric acid for cleaning electric water heater pot. This is much cheaper than what I can buy from the manufacture.

5 out of 5 stars Best Citric Acid Available   July 21, 2010

I had looked for citric acid to use in my cheese making but couldn't find it for a decent price. This citric acid is the same as what it sold in the local health food store and it was much less expensive. Free shipping topped off the great deal! Thank you Amazon!!!

5 out of 5 stars Great stuff! Has multiple uses!   June 17, 2010
L. BLOUIN (Florida, USA)
I bought this recently to add to my homemade laundry detergent powder so I could eliminate the need for a vinegar rinse. I love making my own detergent; it is actually a lot of fun and so easy! The next thing I will use this stuff for is homemade dishwasher detergent. I love that it can be used for cleaning products as well as for food use! I can sprinkle some on fruits after slicing to prevent early browning, etc. This citric acid could also be used in homemade beverages. This large 5-lb container was the best bang for my buck online. I won't run out for a while!

5 out of 5 stars Tripping on Citric Acid!!   April 18, 2010

Excellent cleaning product. Seller was great with proper delivery. We use it for kitchen dish washing. Pots and pans look sparkling except for the toughest burnt grease spots. Stovetop see the light again. Although 5lbs bottle, I tend to use it up fast. Plus, my mother who is allergic to harsh chemical cleaners, this works out great.

5 out of 5 stars Keeps dishwasher nice and clean   February 18, 2010

I add 1 tablespoon to each dishwasher load. The citric acid keeps the mineral deposits in check and the glasses sparkling. Our city water is extremely hard, and the spinners in the dishwasher would get clogged with deposits. Not any longer! I also use it as a neutralizer when shampooing the rugs, but you have to rinse with water afterwards, or it stays a little sticky.
I try to use simple solutions to keep the home clean. This is a safe way to clean.
